Role Objective & Deliverables

Experienced Cloud Architect with a focus on GCP/AWS. This role will focus on developing appropriate cloud operating model for our customer together with foundation artefacts and processes.

The right candidate will take technical leadership of business, technical and service elements related to cloud operating model inclusive of: 

• Cloud Operating structures & frameworks
• Modern governance frameworks and best practices for Agile operations 
• Interfaces between cloud operations, management, engineering, security, architecture and the broader organisation 
• Devops & Agile practices and implications to operations and service 
• Culture Vs Process implications of faster agile operations
• Stradling Systems of Entry and Systems of Record Development & Operations 
• Merging mature digital departments into more traditional infrastructure teams ensuring leverage of the best of both environments in the new operating model

Essential Skills

This is a specialised Cloud Architecture consultant role. We are looking for someone with deep experienced gained over the last ten years helping customer develop both the technical and process elements of cloud foundations. We are seeking an individual who has the hands-on approach to leading a customer on their cloud adoption journey:

• CCoE implementation inclusive of the different capability development strategies
• Cloud Adoption Frameworks
• Governance models for Cloud 
• Artefact development processes and templates
• Engineering purpose and shape to deliver benefit to the operations teams 
• Product Management and product-oriented service architecture 
• Organisational best practices as infrastructure moved to a codified existence 
• Toolchain and Pipeline management to deliver continuous integration 
• Monitoring and Alerting design in a fluid and codified platform deployment model 
• Cattle/Pets implications to IT Operations  
• Deep knowledge of multi-cloud and how to enable customer success across a multicloud landscape 
• Demonstrable experience of helping organisations develop CCoE & Cloud Operating Models 
• Driving automation adoption across IT Operations & Engineering 
• Impact of immutable structures on delivery of Live services   
• Cloud Native Solutions & Impact on Operations 
• Cloud certified architect 
• ITIL and Service Management experience and understanding    

Experience

• CCoE Design, Build & Run experience
• Deep involvement in the design and successful implementation of Cloud operating models for Public, Private or Hybrid environments 
• Demonstrable experience of implementation of a cloud adoption framework,
• Experience of the typical pitfalls and issues of implementing a cloud function into a traditional IT organisation 
• Experience of bimodal operating models in enterprise organisations 
• Practical experience of working within Devops and SRE adopting organisations
